Getting healthy for me!

It's a marathon - not a sprint. Committing to making small changes that will add up to a healthy and sustainable lifestyle. Want to be here with the energy to keep up with my very busy 4-year-old!

I have a tendency to get stuck in perfectionist thinking. If I'm not working out "perfectly," or eating "perfectly," then all is lost. I'm ditching that mindset and giving myself the grace to do everything just "good enough." In the end, that will take me a lot farther than the inertia of ...

My Goals:
I'm trying to build new habits that will stick by starting with some basics: More sleep, more water, less sugar, and then building on those. I want to keep myself from falling prey to perfectionist tendencies and giving up at the first "imperfect" day.

My Program:
Cardio work out (walk, treadmill, exercise videos) at least three times a week.

Yoga video at least once a week. (These make me feel so good!)

Get to bed and get a full night's sleep.

Eat between 1250 and 1600 calories a day.

Incorporate strength training.

Personal Information:
SAHM to an active 4-year-old and part-time writer/editor.

Other Information:
Love to read, cross-stitch, sew. Love TV (need to make sure I'm treadmilling instead of sitting while watching), particularly Modern Family, Glee, Bravo reality TV.

I just want to tell you to DO THIS!!!! If you are just like I used to be, I need you to know it is so worth it to cut out the excuses and get in the game! I have always had low self esteem, thoughts of regret, depressed feelings and that is all changing with weight loss. Along with a better body you get healthier, a more positive outlook, great things to look forward to and you get to knock the socks off people you know. Everytime you just want one more chip, one more soda, one more hot dog, one more big mac (whatever it is) just know how great you would feel if you reached your goals- don't wait. Get started, go all in and make it happen! Don't be sitting there in a year from now wondering how far you could have gone if you started today! Remember, yesterday you said tomorrow!!!! Let's do this together!
