One Step at a Time (Oh, and: Screw the Scale)

I've struggled with weight my whole life. After being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, I realized that if I don't take control of things now, pulling out of future health issues might be very, very difficult. When I first joined SP, I didn't go anywhere with it. I'm back now, and actually putting it to good use. This time, so far, so good! I've been successful so far!

Before my MS was diagnosed, I had started a weight loss journey where I lost just over 39 pounds in about a year and a half. Then I went though my diagnosis period and was kind of a bit preoccupied to keep on the journey. But luckily, I only gained 5 pounds in the ~6 years since then. And now I'm back. My progress numbers reflect my current weight loss journey and don't take the previous loss into its numbers.

Just wanted to say hello and tell you what an inspiring story you have! I'm browsing around in search of inspiration and here you are. :). Love the post form march about how to get back on track and not let a gain get you down. I'm in a similar situation currently and struggling with my motivation.

I hope all is well with you, and thanks again for sharing your story on Spark!
