A bit about me...
I had been gaining weight rather quickly the past 5-6 years... My back hurt just to stand and do dishes or fold clothes and I was sleeping poorly. I decided that enough was enough, and implemented a Lifestyle Change. No more junk food, eat more fresh fruits and veggies and get up off my butt and start moving. I had been gaining weight rather quickly the past 5-6 years... My back hurt just to stand and do dishes or fold clothes and I was sleeping poorly. I decided that enough was enough, and implemented a Lifestyle Change. No more junk food, eat more fresh fruits and veggies and get up off my butt and start moving. I started out with the goal of walking 1 mile, 3 days per week and doing a water aerobics class at the Y twice a week. My first day was August 30, 2010 and I was only able to walk about .5 mile because my back was hurting. By September 3, 2010 I had gotten rid 5 lbs from my highest weigh on Aug. 18th and was able to walk 1 mile without my back hurting. Nov. 1, 2010: I have gotten rid of 19 lbs and am now walking ~2 miles almost every weekday morning. I am also taking walks during my morning break. I plan to start walking during my afternoon breaks as well and start taking the stairs. I go to a a water aerobics class on Tues & Thurs and a aqua jog class on Saturdays. Tomorrow is my first session with a PT so I can start strength training. 03/09/2011: It has been 6 months since I started and I have gotten rid of 40 lbs! I am still walking ~2 miles almost every weekday morning and am walking a little over a mile during my morning break. After a break from water classes due to weather I am now back at it. Aqua Jog and/or Fitness on Tues, Thurs & Sat. Also started C25K this morning. During the break from water I went to the Y anyway and did cardio and weights. Just have to figure how to get that into my routine now that I am back in the water. Would love to find a buddy in Tampa, FL!

My Program:
1 - Live~It not Die-It! 2 - Walk at least 4 days/week before school/work 3 - Walk during break at work for 10-15 minutes once/day 4 - Go to an aqua fitness class twice a week at the Y 6 - Strength train at least 2 days per week 7 - Eat 5 small meals/day 8 - No snacking after dinner!
