The adventures of being unemployed, and trying to lose weight

Well since I am unemployed and a large portion of my diet consists of what I am given from the fresh food bank, losing weight is very difficult.

After reading a book called, Why we are Fat, and what to do about it, my BF and I decided that it made the most amount sense out of any diet or lifestyle book I had ever read.

It is essentially low carb, reduced calorie. I am a vegetarian so it can be difficult to find enough low carb protein choices.

However ...

However this is the first plan that I have not been hungry on, at all and I am eating less calories than I ate on others.

So join me on my journey to healthy!

I will take you on a tour of what I eat, how I try to stay healthy and lose weight.

This is often difficult as I receive mainly bread and potatoes and odd vegetables.

I want to be at 250 by the middle of December 2011
Only 20 lbs to go until I hit that :-)

My Program:
reduced carb reduced calorie mostly vegetarian occasional fish

I just ran across your page and had to stop by and say Hi. I can so relate to so many things you said. I am back after being away for a year and a half and am almost back to my highest weight ever. Definitely time for a change. Keep your head up and remember that you can do this.

I am doing pretty good down another lb from last week almost to one of my mini goals of 210 by my birthday only 6.2 lbs away!
