Rewriting my Destiny
Consistent effort, no matter how small, sparks magic, fills sails, butters bread, turns tides, instills faith, summons friends, improves health, burns calories, creates abundance, yields clarity, builds courage, spins planets, and rewrites destinies. Consistent effort, no matter how small, sparks magic, fills sails, butters bread, turns tides, instills faith, summons friends, improves health, burns calories, creates abundance, yields clarity, builds courage, spins planets, and rewrites destinies. No matter how small. Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow. Melody Beattie, Quoted in “Simple Abundance”, by Sarah Ban Breathnach DESIDERATA by Max Ehrmann Go placidly amid the noise and the haste and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible, without surrender, be on good terms will all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even to the dull and the ignorant; for they too have their story. Avoid loud and aggessive persons; they are vexatious to the spirit. If you compare yourself to others, you may become vain or bitter, for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself. Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real posession in the changing fortunes if time. Exercise caution in your business affairs, for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for hig ideals and everywhere life is full of heroism. Be yourself. Especially do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment, it is as perennial as the grass. Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of your youth. Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness. Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. YOu are a child of the universe no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should. Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be. And whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life, keep PEACE in your soul. With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.

Personal Information:
My name is Carolanne I lost 80 pounds 7 years ago using Weight Watchers and have kept the majority of it off all these years. I have 3 children (2 step) - they are 37, 34 and 23. The 2 oldest kids have blessed my DH & I with 5 gorgeous grandsons.
Other Information:
I work 3 days a week with my husband of 28 years servicing really big commercial swimming pools for our own company. It's a very physical job with lots of arm and shoulder work and heavy lifting (the chlorine jugs weigh 22 lbs each). Last year I lost my job of 24 years as a purchasing agent and customer service rep due to the declining economy. It's been surprisingly lovely to work with my husband. I feel really good about being able to help him and make his days a little easier.
