I'm a 26 year old preschool teacher from Cincinnati who is trying to live a more healthy lifestyle. I've hemmed and hawed for too long and keep crashing but I'm tired of backpedaling myself all the time so this is my way of holding my own self accountable.

2011 will be the year that I hit my target weight and the year I run my first half-marathon. Come join me on my journey as I strive to live a much healthier lifestyle.

Fitness Minutes: 1,762

My Goals:
I'm at a point in my life where I just want to be healthy. I want to be at healthy weight for my height and I want to be able to look at myself with confidence when I look in the mirror.

My short term goal is to be out of the 200s by this time next year.

My long term goal is to run a half marathon in May, with the Disney marathon in front of me before I'm 30.

My Program:
I run three nights a week and try to intersperse in some strength training as well.

My favorite cardio at the gym is the elliptical with occasionally some biking added into the mix.

I try to monitor what I eat and drink more water, though I allow myself one day a week where I splurge on something I love.

Personal Information:
I graduated from college in 2008 with a BS in Family Studies. I'm now back in school working on my M. Ed in School Counseling and use my workout time at the gym as an outlet for the stress that school and working full time put on me. I've learned that even as much as I hate working out, I feel so good afterwards. I have a great support system from my family and wouldn't be able to do any of this without them.

Other Information:
I love to read and constantly have my nose buried in a book. I have two nieces and a nephew whom I love dearly and who have inspired me to lose weight because I want to be able to keep up with them as they run around outdoors!

My lungs hate me in cold weather, so I'm sticking to the treadmill until the world gets a little warmer (or at least until my endurance picks up a bit - when I trained for the Disney half a few years ago - which I walked with my sister - by the time it got cold out my lungs were fine), but on nice days it's a definite possibility. :) What part of town are you in? We're in Price Hill/Westwood (on the uphill slope of Queen City Avenue - built in hill). :D

I’ve belonged to a lot of teams here on spark-- i really do believe that the Emotional Eaters team is one of the very best, it’s a great group of people- very supportive and encouraging-- and it is very refreshing to talk with people who "get" what you're going through!! ¸¸.•¨¸♥¨`*,¸.•*´¨`*• .¸♥.*¸.•´¸.•*¨¸.•*¨¸.•´¸.•*¨) ¸.•*¨)
Check out the main page of the EE team- there are “stickied” topics you may be interested in to get involved- a buddy thread, a place to introduce yourself, weigh-in challenge, a birthday post. ¸.•*¨¸.•´¸.•*¨(¸.•´ (¸.•´ (¸.•´¸¸.•¨¸♥¨`*,¸.•*´¨`*• .¸♥. ¸.•♥´ .•´¨¨ ¸´¸.•´¸.•*¨)¸¸.•´ ..•-~'¸.•*¨)
Spark has a lot of great tools, and you will learn which ones work best for you. The best tools are the people tho, always willing to lend a hand, an ear, or a shoulder. I’ve been here for over a year now, and I still am overwhelmed, every day, by the kindness and goodness of others on this team!! That has made a world of difference for me. I hope you have the same success! ¸¸.•¨¸♥¨`*,¸.•*´¨`*• .¸♥.*.•*¨¸.•´¸.•*

Hi- Welcome to the EE team! Great place for support, and encouragement, and a place to vent if you need to!

    10 Positive Assumptions

    1) I will make and keep my commitments.

    2) I will find the right people who can help me.

    3) I will look for an answer in every problem.

    4) I will give up trying and simply do.

    5) I will make it okay to be wrong and make mistakes.

    6) I will create my own good luck.

    7) I will not be afraid to lose before I win.

    8 ) I will do it now!

    9) I will be who I am and become what I was meant to be.

    10) I will accept that all things are possible.
