I'm ready! This is MY year!

I am teaching myself a new way to live. I joined in December 2009 and I have bounced back and forth quite lazily for longer than I ever should have! I am making the decision now to do it. I am not going to try. I am going to do it... until I can't.

My goals range from simply tracking what I eat to actually running a marathon. I am ambitious, but have to remember to keep the steps small so I feel the power of success on my way to larger goals.

I wish to play Soccer ...

I wish to play Soccer with my daughter as much as possible. I will be able to hike Humphrey's Peak (4.7 miles and 3313 ft elevation gain)! I will run.

I will achieve all of these things and maintain that lifestyle for myself and my daughter.

My Program:
* I jump-started my plan by following a detox cleanse first. See blogs for more info.

* As little meat as possible (no red at all and, fish & poultry 2-3 times a week at most)

* All fruits, vegetables, legumes & nuts. As many vegetables as I can hold.

*Strength training 3x per week.

* Any activity every day.

* Cardio - Walk/Run, Cardio video from Spark, Jillian, Leslie or Zumba 3x a week.

* Rest on Sunday!





Personal Information:
My name is Terri. I'm 5'6". I live in Northern Arizona with my sister/roommate and my daughter and nephew.

I enjoy reading, writing, volunteering @ my church, Soccer (newly because I ref my daughter's games), Softball, hiking, fishing, camping and playing with my 6 year old. I also enjoy spending time with my family and working to educate kiddos!

Personally, I do not count all 300 minutes as fitness. Since most are strength training exercises, I put them in my tracker as fitness (I use the OLD tracker) and each time I do them is one set.

For the ones that are cardio...I just use "low impact aerobics" and try to estimate my total time doing those. So far I have a bunch of strength and just 5 mins of cardio. :)
