No Excuses

I'm turning 27, and I don't feel healthy. Sexy is a state of mind, I want to look the way I feel. I want tor Run, Hike, Swim, go Wind Surfing, play Ultimate Frisbee,.....the possibilities are endless BUT right now my body just wont let me. Its time to live.

Update: I just turned 28, so way way healthier than I was last year at this time. Only down 27 pounds, hoped to be twice that but going so slow makes it feel like I am actually making life changes. I feel physically and ...

Update: I just turned 28, so way way healthier than I was last year at this time. Only down 27 pounds, hoped to be twice that but going so slow makes it feel like I am actually making life changes. I feel physically and mentally healthier- i see and feel changes in my body in close sizes and how i move. It feels awesome to have had even this much success. My new goal is to be another size smaller, and at least another 10 pounds lighter in 2 months when all the summer fun starts!

Update: Just turned 29. Two years later and I'm still struggling. I think I have broke through a mental wall. Almost done with school and have a whole new set of goals. Since restarting this whole thing last month I have lost 9 pounds and will fight tooth and nail to get to my first major goal of -85 by my next birthday. 61 to go... I Know I can do it!

Letting Sparks People count my calories and making sure I don't go over. Eating 5 fruits/veggies daily, drinking 8+ glasses of h2o, getting 30 minutes of activity every day.

How's it going lately?? Hey if you are just finding it extremely hard to stay at the target calorie intake, it may be that you are around ovulation stage of your cycle or very near to AF. I'm always starving at those times...lasts about a week each time...now I just let myself "off" when it gets really bad and I will eat to maintian (or alittle above, but I try not to go over too much). When that week of hunger is over, I find myself having no problems eating well. I think its a cycle thing...hormones or something...oh and plus I always bloat up during those times which *can* make me feel like all is lost and what's the use of eating well...etc etc...but a week later the bloat goes down and the hormones level off and I'm not starving anymore and I am ready to work at it all again. Oh but I do try to keep exercising through those times. This is long, sorry, just wanted to encourage you. You are doing really great!
