January 1, 2009 - 258 lbs. Total loss of 112 lbs.
Sept. 2008 - 276 lbs. Total loss of 94 lbs. (74 lbs. with SP)
My dad, daughter Skye and me. 297 lbs. July/08
Hi - I am losing this same 200 lbs. for the second time and this time I plan to keep it off. :) After losing it the first time, I started to have problems with my legs, and ended up in surgery. It was so hard to get around after that and I slowly slipped back into my sedentary lifestyle along with poor eating habits and the weight was more than happy to rejoin me. So...here I go again. Once this weight is gone I should be able to get around much easier. Can't wait! I'm looking forward to much less pain.
Galatian 6:9 (NLT) "So don't get tired of doing what is good. Don't get discouraged and give up." This journey, for me, is about making changes in lifestyle, healthy eating, exercise ~ with the goal being a temple that can glorify our Creator ~ side effects being; a sense of well being, balance, community, weight loss, increased energy. My prayer is that we can take this "journey" together.
Daily we pray "Lord, please guide each of us today in our healthy choices and help us be ever mindful that we are doing this for your glory. Please help us keep our eyes on you, you are our sustenance. Thank you Lord. Amen."
For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
First and foremost, I want to FEEL healthy. I don't care to be the skinniest woman around, just able to shop in "normal" stores for clothes. To be able to shop with my daughter, to be able to walk without a cane, be able to bend over to pick something up easily.
I'm tracking my food intake along with nutrients, drinking more water and most importantly...I reward myself at the end of each month for staying on track that month. I think I kinda like that. :) Mid May I started with a small exercise program that has been upgraded to "Chair Dancing" exercises. Love it!
I have two children. My son is 26 and my daughter is 21. I've been married for 34 years. My husband is disabled with MS and I have a walking disability. I live in Southern Ontario, Canada but grew up in Tucson, AZ.
I love to read, enjoy a good movie and nature. Simple living, organics and the environment are all passions of mine. My favorite book is the Bible and I try to live my life in a way that is pleasing to the Lord.
"LIVE SIMPLY SO OTHERS MAY SIMPLY LIVE" ~ My favorite quote.

I am back on the train and trying to barrel it through to my final goal. How have you been and are you still paticipatory on ths site. I saw on my page you had been looking for me, but to make this short, I just petered out. I don't know if we were still mailing in Mar of '09, but it was suspected that my brother took his life and I have had a couple severe problems with my legs including one day when I actually walked straight out of them because both legs had broken pens in them. It's comical now, but I tell you when it happend, it wasn't so much that it hurt as to my wondering what had happened. I was a bit perplexed and that was in Sep/Oct of last year. I have been in the process of getting new legs and I have one set built and am awaiting the other.
Well, I don't want to put all that I want to discuss in your comments, I will figure out how to message you as I have forgotten completely how this site works.
