My Goals:
Weight of 9-9.5st. To be able to walk uphill without being the last person and sounding like Thomas the Tank Engine!
To be flexible again. To be able to sit on my feet without my knees exploding.

My Program:
I switched to the 5:2 fast diet in March 2013, mostly to help reduce my considerable cancer risk. Then switched again in November 2013 to alternate day fasting, as I found two days a week was not enough for me to lose weight. I still follow the golden rules of Paul McKenna on my non fast days, as he has served me well, assisting me to lose 50lbs.

Other Information:
I like all animals but especially cats. I am keen on cross stitch, and gardening. I like steam engines. I dislike religion, I am an atheist.

Hi Evelyn, I have chatted to you before but today read your fasting blog for the first time and am inspired I had been toying with the idea of 5:2 fasting
I am feeling more confident about it now as a permanent approach to life as I am over "diets" I wasn't aware I could set the calorie range slightly higher if I felt the need to and I will keep this in mind.
So tomorrow I will be having my first fasting day :-) 500 calories is what the book recommends, SP and 5:2 both recommend a very high calorie range for me for "non fasting" but I plan on sticking to 1500 - so I will give that a go for now and hope to see results like yours in my weight and in my overall well being
