Metamorphosis

I've always been seriously overweight from the time I was in diapers, so much so that in pictures of my 10-yr-old softball team, I'm LITERALLY twice the height and width of my peers.
In high school I dropped 65 lbs in a year and a half just by walking to school in the mornings (a 1.8 mile stroll). Unfortunately I've slowly gained a lot of that back.

I've always been a really outgoing person, but after finishing college and mustering the strength to make the biggest change of my life (moving to Montréal and living in French), I felt like every ounce of my motivation and will had just slipped away from me. I became depressed, introverted, and refused to take action on anything.
It took my wonderful boyfriend to knock some sense into me and make me realize that I was on the road to becoming exactly what I dreaded.
So here's to creating a new me. The me I was before and even more!

Update Jan. 2012: The last year saw me shed about 25lbs with several ups and downs. It's time to step up my game and stop letting my own laziness win out. This year, I can and will lose twice that much!

I am finally catching up to my mother!! We can slip on the same size 16 dress with ease! Eat THAT, former size 22 pants!

I'm inspired by my grandma whom I love to pieces. She's always been concerned about my weight and I want to show her I can do it once and for all. She gave me a few lessons on how to cook at Christmas this year (2011) and I can't let them go to waste!
