Wow, the years speed by! It is now June 17, 2015; and I am 58 years old! Over the past 11 months, I have done the JJ Virgin diet-an elimination diet which took about 35 lb off almost effortlessly! From that I have gone on to the Paleo lifestyle and am now down to 139.2 lb! This is the lowest weight for me since I was pregnant with my first child; I weighed around 124 when I got pregnant...that was 41 years ago! More importantly, for the first time in 9 years, my ANA titer is negative; it had been stuck at 1:1280 since 2006. I still have an elevated CRP = high inflammation; and, I am still in constant pain. But, I have hope now!
I am 55 years old and married. Between us, we have 6 children (4 mine, 2 my husbands) and have 17 grandchildren! Together we have 4 "children"--two little rescue dogs, two rescue cats, and a rose-breasted cockatoo. I was a registered nurse for 27 years; I am now retired on disability due to severe fibromyalgia, degenerative disc disease, spinal arthritis, and depression; additionally, I am hypothyroid, have asthma, GERD, and IBS. I gained 60-70 pounds when my thyroid died and my asthma escalated in 2006. The asthma is under control now; thyroid is in ''normal'' range on replacement medication. I have constant pain daily and terrible fatigue due to the fibromyalgia and back issues; this makes exercise very difficult. I try to follow a gluten-free diet due to gluten intolerance.
January 29, 2012: I am now 55--not sure how that happened; I was 25 just yesterday! LOL
DIET: Healthy choices, balanced, as much organic as possible...track calorie range of 1200-1500 daily, meeting macro nutrients goals.
FITNESS: DO some exercise daily at least 15 minutes! Track it!
March 17, 2013-Hmmm, what to say here-seems to get worse at every turn...continue with diet, doctors, tests, meds...
Continue my studies; read Spiritual passages/books daily;
Meditate daily at least 10 minutes.
Self-Reiki daily as part of living the Reiki lifestyle, incorporating Ayurveda.

I currently live in a small town in rural south-central Arkansas with my husband. Arkansas is my home state; but, I had lived in northwest New Mexico for 13 years, then Flagstaff, Arizona for 2 years prior to coming back to AR. It has been a much tougher adjustment than I had imagined! LOL I really miss the SW and high desert--not to mention the children and grandchildren that we left there. On the up side, I am only 66 miles from my Mama now and can spend time with her. My Dad crossed over in 2010; this has been hard for both of us. Life is full of transitions!
