So yesteday, my scale kept saying DIFFERENT weight, so I am guessing I weigh around 219lbs. :(

Hello...I'm Sandi, 29 with two beautiful daughters and a wonderfully amazing, incredible husband (Hugo). I decided to join SPARKPEOPLE because of my many failed attempts at losing weight, so maybe by trying something new and blogging every day of my weight loss journey I can accomplish exactly what I want this time! Last year (2011) I was doing weight watchers and after two months and only a 20 pound weight loss I gave up! So a year later I have gained all that weight back and plus a little more, so now It's time to get it off this time & keep it off!!! I think I can, I think I can!!!

Well it's 2013 and I gained all my weight back, I had lost close to 15lbs, but after losing my Mother to breast cancer I've been depressed and like I said, gained almost all of it back...I started at 223lbs and right now I weigh 219lbs...So MAYBE I can do it this time!

My Goals:
My one main goal is to lose at least 35 pounds, but to get to my goal weight I will need to lose 68 pounds total!

My Program:
The things I am doing right now to try and lose weight is eating better, staying within my daily calorie limit and walking and moving as much as I can on a daily basis!

Your welcome. Make a plan for a week and try to stick to it- like eating within calorie range for a week. Then in the second week you add another goal and so on. You should check out the videos on SparkPeople- I spent about a day surfing for videos here and on youtube for workout videos to see if there are some doable exercises. I know I am still far from being in shape, so I didn't want to start with something I knew I couldn't master. Let me know how it is going. emoticon and soon the weather will be better and you can take your walks again emoticon

I go running/walking whenever possible-I love being outdoors and I fell off the wagon when the weather got bad because I couldn't go. Then I got into a fitness mood a few days ago because I needed to vent. So I tried a few videos on this site. The resistence band videos are pretty good. First, they are affordable and second, the videos are short, but don't underestimate the effect. I always hated doing videos, but those videos were awesome because I was able to finish them without taking a break or feeling totally out of shape (which I am LOL), so that was a nice energy boost. Last but not least, I started doing Jilian Michaels' 30Day Shred on Sunday. It is so tough and I have to do modifications, but I did better yesterday and today. So I will see if I can see similar results like other people.

Hey Sandi. I just now saw your comment on the "I Lost 20lbs" badge in my photo gallery. Here's how to get one: Click "Edit My Sparkpage" then scroll down to where your profile pic is displayed and click to change that image. There are 3 options available: on the left side of the pop-up window is the "Upload from computer" tools, and on the right side you will see pics that you have already displayed on you page. Above those is a small underlined link that says "choose from our success gallery" Click there and you will see all the weight choices and the anniversary badges.

thanks for hitting me back about the scale...i'm kinda surprised you don't like it, and curious..is it because it's inaccurate? --you must love that HUMONGOUS display, though, no? Hahahaha, maybe it's just because I'm old and blind that a huge display looks so cool ;)
