Thanks for asking about my race. It was definitely not my best at all. In fact the very competitive runner in me is disappointed. Oh well, I came, I ran, I finished! I have my second half marathon on the 24th to keep training for.
DANG! I was just about to try the same veggie switch...as soon as I got through the huge bag of organic grapes, the strawberries that were on sale, and the blueberries that are looking a little like good smoothie material (old.)
I have a mini plateau going...just about a month, so I need to switch things up too. Gotta keep that bod guessing!
Maybe it's the stress that is making it hard to lose. A few years back, I left a very stressful job (reported employer to the labor board) and lost a whole bunch of weight without really trying. Cortisol, the stress hormone, if very powerful.
Whatever, it is, you will figure it out. I will be here to cheer you on. Thanks for being there for me. You are AWESOME! Don't forget it.
I had to laugh, because I looked for hiking boots too. Seems like an oversight on their part, because so many of us have hiking listed as a hobby in our profiles.
One of these days I am going to get back to running. I am keeping my heart rate in aerobic range with fast walking for now. It is a great stress reliever. Hope your running is going well, and the veggies switch too.
