I tried the wonton wraps in a healthy way. I took a wedge of Laughing Cow cheese and spread it on one sheet added another sheet and pan fried it with cooking spray! Instant lo fat "grilled" cheese. I need to check out your blog for the latest. Take care now and know that God loves you :-)) 2697 days ago
Per your comment on the "Best way to cook vegetables":
I don't buy into this "microwave is one of the, if no the best, ways to cook vegetables" suggestion. What is the base or scientific support to this claim?
An excellent question! One should always question pat statements. One answer: http://www.bellaonline.com/articles/art527 58.asp.
Google "Microwave vegetable nutrition" and you'll find several other articles.
Bottom line: microwaving is better than boiling, unless you drink the water you boiled your vegetables in. It's better because you use less water, and fewer nutrients leak out. It's not as good as raw (in most cases), but it's better than other cooking methods... usually.
I want to remind you, some vegetables (such as tomatoes) provide MORE nutrients if you cook them. Some phytochemicals need heat to release or activate them. There is no such thing as certainty... I think . 2756 days ago
