6 December 2012 On the third week of Chanamas

194.6 no doubt abnormally low. had to take a diuretic because I had two very salty meals and my BP shot up. but we are going for the overall loss of 8 pounds by christmas, right? right? right?

E - Every trip to the bathroom counts
I - If we don't try, the weight won't come off
G - Get away from food as often as possible
H - Have a treat now and then
T - Take care of other parts of you as well.

Soo many good looking and tasting things to eat at ...

Soo many good looking and tasting things to eat at this time of the year. It is going to be hard to just taste bits. I am diving into cookbooks from the library and tryng different recipes that look light and checking them out with the recipe calculator before making them. Well, it's about the journey and the final result, not about the blips and flubs along the way.

final goal is to be under 140.

My Program:
1) actually using my gym membership
2) Wii Fit
3 )Daily cardio
4) Watching what I eat and recording it as best I can.
5) work with a trainer once a week

Other Information:
Love to cook and modify favorites to make them less calorie dense without giving up what makes the food great to start with. In other words, fake ice cream isn't worth it to me, but I can make a low fat smoothie that won't miss the extra fat and sugar.

That certainly is an interesting looking veggie, isn't it! The pictures were "borrowed" off the internet.

The supermarket had a sign calling it Broccoflower. They can be hard to find. When I discovered it last summer I brought one home because I like to experiment. We thought it tasted like broccoli. Yes, it stayed green.
