Hi, I'm Dana. I'm a 34 year old single mother and working professional. I have a very demanding, yet fulfilling career working in a profession that I love. I live in the Southern Maryland area and work in Northern Virginia.

I have an awesome 10 year old son who plays football and definitely keeps me on my toes.

I've achieved so much in life and I feel blessed everyday; however, while working on being a great mom, finishing my Master's program, and climbing the corporate ladder, something fell off and that was my health.

Over the past five years since getting out of the military I've put on over 100 lbs. I don't have the energy that I should have and I am sick of being tired all of the time. I really want to work on increasing my health and losing weight so I can be on this earth for my son for many years to come. If I don't get control of my weight I will have serious medical consequences and everything that I've worked so hard to achieve in my life will be irrelevant because I'll be working on recovering from illness after illness caused my my severe obesity.

I am here for support and to learn how to live a healthy lifestyle!

My Goals:
I definitely want to see the scale going in the DOWNWARD direction and cannot wait to get back into the 100's! I want to build a healthy body and have a healthy mind. I want to be strong enough to make SMART food choices and stop using my chaotic schedule as an excuse to eat junk and feel worse about myself.

My Program:
Right now, I'm just trying to monitor portion sizes, eat out less, and work out consistently. Once I master these necessary skills, I will target one specific program to help me achieve my goals.

Other Information:
I want to be the best I can be, healthy, happy, and back to the Dana that everyone knows and loves!

Stopping by to say keep up the great work.You can do this and you will. The paleo diet is similar to what I'm doing and I can say that not eating processed foods leaves me feeling so awesome. Good luck
