Living my way to better thinking...
My name is Sherry and I'm trying to get myself back into shape after a lengthy illness and surgery. I gained 100 pounds through the course of the illness and now its time for me to begin a new set of habits that will help me feel and look better.

My Goals:
My original goal was to lose over 100 pounds. I've lost 30 and am continuing on my quest to lose the rest. Once I've lost my weight, my goal will be to maintain a proper weight and to have healthy eating habits for the rest of my life.
My Program:
I am eating a non-inflammatory diet, which consists of lots of anti-oxident foods, such as berries, squash, spinach, lean meats and whole grains. I have Greens First every morning - a high-protein shake that contains 10 servings of vegetables. I also exercise 5 nights a week by swimming 50 laps in the pool at my gym. Mostly, I am keeping my SparkPeople trackers open and am keeping up with my eating and fitness regularly throughout each day.

Other Information:
I have been married since 1989 and I have one child - a married daughter. Im self-employed in a retail business and work heavily on computers. I have been in recovery from alcohol and drugs since 1987 and that has saved my life. I'm a pretty happy, positive person and I'm very friendly. I like people and hearing about their lives.
