Restarting Spring 2013

I am taking part in the 2013 Spring Into Summer 5% Challenge, the goal is to lose 5% of my current weight - so 11 lbs in 8 weeks.

FOOD:
My diet plan is to eat more fresh fruits and veggies, and count my calories. Everything in moderation.

EXERCISE:
My plan for the start is to walk 30 minutes/2.5km/1.55miles Monday to Friday on my lunch break (an extended "walk around the block"). I have ...

MOTIVATION:
What can you tell yourself every morning that will give you a sense of purpose for your day?
-Another day, another chance to be awesome.

What can you tell yourself when you are thinking of skipping a walk or a workout?
-Just move! You won't regret it!

Is there something you can tell yourself when you are reaching for that second helping or that cookie?
-Do I really need that?

SUPPORT: I will work to support my team, commenting in as many forum posts as I can, and visiting sparkpages to help motivate my team.

You really should try taking the stairs at work. I've inspired my sister to start climbing the 22 floors of stairs at her office building. Taking the stairs up a low impact form of exercise. Then take the elevator back down to reduce the impact on your knees.
