Slow and steady
Hmmm, It has been about 3 years since I first joined Sparkpeople. I had managed to lose a bit of weight, and learned a lot. Now I have a daughter!!! Being pregnant meant I couldn't do a lot of physical things that I was used to doing and I hated that. I vowed not to take my body for granted again. So I want to lose the pregnancy weight, and I want my strength and fitness back and improved! I want to set a good nutrition example for my daughter. ...

Being pregnant meant I couldn't do a lot of physical things that I was used to doing and I hated that. I vowed not to take my body for granted again. So I want to lose the pregnancy weight, and I want my strength and fitness back and improved! I want to set a good nutrition example for my daughter. So far though, I have been extremely indulgent with myself because I'm worried about post-partum depression if I push myself too hard. So I'm going to start tracking, exercising, and hopefully finding a way to fit in strength training. I'm going to try to cut back on store bought snacks but see how far I get without doing much more than that. Fortunately I was raised on good nutrition and I like things like vegetables and food cooked from scratch. I've just been getting lazy!

My Goals:
Basically I would like to lose weight. I was steady at around 145 for years and then my weight just started climbing. If I hit 142 I will definitely be pretty foxy but mostly I want to be able to maintain that weight as I get older.
My Program:
I had to up the suggested spark calories quite a bit to even have a chance of following the plan. I'm going to keep exercising, and I'm hoping that just by keeping track of what I eat, I'll make better choices. The day before I started I had eaten over 3000 calories so it should be pretty easy to improve on that.
