"Success isn't a result of spontaneous combustion. You must set yourself on fire." -Arnold Glasgow
Good morning! Thank you for the teapot goodie, Sue! It was great to hear from you, I really miss you. Seems like all my best Spark friends have disappeared...you, Debbie, Arlene and Lori. But I'm still here and I'm not going anywhere. I'm glad my post on your page gave you a reason to check in!
Yes, I was so scared about hubby having a ruptured appendix. He was feeling bad and in pain for days before he finally went to the hospital. They thought at first that it was a bowel obstruction but after they opened him up they saw his appendix had ruptured. He had a lot of infection and could have died. But he's doing better now...slowly. On pain meds and antibiotics. Will have to miss at least two more weeks of work, and that means no pay. And his boss is being a jerk about it. When I was on the phone with him yesterday, he kind of made a veiled threat to hire a replacement for Dave. And I flat out told him that he better hold Dave's job because its illegal to fire someone for having a medical emergency. (I don't know if thats true or not, but it should be!) Anyway, we are just not going to worry about that right now.
I haven't been eating right and I haven't exercised in about ten days or more, but I'm going to try to do some DDP Yoga today. I need to get back on track because I can tell I've gained weight. Oh well, thats not the end of the world, its just a speed bump.
How are you doing? Hope you have a wonderful day. Love, Pixie
"Many things are simply not going to happen with just one, or three, or even a dozen attempts. Yet anything becomes possible with enough persistence. Keep going, and allow your efforts to build upon one another. Keep going, and transform the disappointments into achievements. You have what it takes to keep going, because all it ever takes is just one more step forward. Keep going, and work your way steadily to the richest rewards you can imagine." -- Ralph Marston
Hope your week is going great, Spark friend! Keep taking those steps towards your goals. Never give up! As long as you keep going, you will succeed. You are always worth your best effort! Hugs, Pixie
