Baby Steps in the Right Direction

Hi there! I'm Mel! :) I moved here from Seattle to work at an awesome little toy company in Claremont and see some sunshine. I'm new to the area and still haven't met a lot of people, but if anyone wants to walk together, eat together, play together, let me know!

I was a really active sparker from March-June 2011 and managed to lose 20 lbs before I fell off the bandwagon. I've gained it back, so here we go again. I have a Fitbit and I love it! Work craziness during the first part of the year really knocked me off track as I sat on butt at the computer and ate and ate and ate. On April 1st, 2013 I decided that I needed to do something about this trend in the wrong direction. I want to be thin and fit and match the image I have of myself in my head!

- Learn how to live a healthier lifestyle
- Re-lose weight I lost before
- Lose 5% in the challenge!!
- Track my food daily
- Drink 64oz of water daily

COMPLETED:
- Not gain a bunch of weight during holiday season - 151lbs on 11/21/12 and 149 on 1/3/13
- Run a 5K without walking before the end of 2012 - Distance-11/20/12 & Spartan Sprint-12/2/12
- Lose weight before my appearance as my friend's bridesmaid in June (lost 15 pounds just before the wedding! 6/19/11)

How I exercise: walking with my PICs (partners in crime) Shimmer and Blake, running, cycling, indoor rock climbing

How I eat: attempting to eat healthy, but sometimes life (and my favorite treats) get in the way!
