Laughter burns calories

We control how we respond to life. You choose to appreciate what you have and sail forward or you focus on what is behind and drown. I am a realist who has decided that for the rest of my journey, I am going to enjoy all the humor life has to offer. Because the world has gone nuts. My Goals:
get to normal weight, ingrain a healthy lifestyle, and enjoy life in the present, get back in shape, and make as many friends as I can. Target Milestone for 5% Challenge ...lose 12 lbs.

My Program:
whole foods aiming for 7 servings of veggies and fruit, low carb,
low salt, and limited processed foods. Daily goals = 1200-1500 cals, exercise plan-- SparkPeople Videos, Dancing, and Total Gym Strength Train

Always struggled with weight. Escaped from New York City. Need a GPS to help me find my mind. Looking for the 'perfect' man, someone who doesn't have a criminal record, doesn't talk to people who aren't there, and isn't on drugs, or make others want to take drugs while with him.

LOL Sheryl,, you FLATTER ME ! Perhaps to much so !

I LOVE life,, in doing sooooo ,, it gives me PLENTY of energy ! I can at this time WALK AGAIN !! WOOHOOO !! I do not of course know for how long. The screw is screwing up ! it's a comin out of my foot,, on the side. Time will tell,,,, no doubt at "some point" I;ll be back in surgery. LOL this time I DO NOT WANT ANYONE to "take care" of me,,,, they LOVE to watch my big screen,,,, and it's in the room I choose when sick to stay,, the livingroom,, I have the MOST COMFY couch ! (though I am now looking at a sleep # bed with sleep technology ,,, I've had a sleep # in the past,, and used to sleep 8 to 10 hrs,, and now sleeping only 4 hrs !),,,,,,,,, even that will NOT SLOW ME DOWN !! Sure it may change my exercise type, but I'll again just work on my arms,, and core,, both a PROBLEM area's !!! WE CAN DO THIS Sheryl !!

U ALSO HAVE UMP !! And you ALSO SPUR On others !! Its one of the reasons, we wanted you as an EL, but yes, of course we understood when you said you can't,, we hope in time,, this will change. :)

Hi Hon if you would like you can jump right back in. We r now on week 6, the ltgl is to choose something you need to work on. It's 10 points as long as you attempt to do it.

Hugs,, if u come which no doubt will help you ,,, Than please copy the weigh in template and start with this. Saturday s weigh in, we r hoping to start the challenge either the 3rd or 10th,,, well the first 2 weeks of January.

This Holiday Season, give yourself the gift of self-motivation:

1. Review your reasons for wanting to be healthier.

2. Think about how you felt when you began your new healthy lifestyle. You remember . . . tired, low energy, lots of aches and pains, miserable, embarrassed, etc. and pay close attention to the smallest changes in your body. Think about how far you’ve come so far.

3. Challenge yourself . . . the try some new, healthy food options; a new form of exercise; walk farther; run faster; whatever. Just make sure the challenge you set is realistic for you.

4. Set up reminders to keep yourself on track – they can be sticky notes taped to your computer monitor, automatic text messages/emails you send yourself, or anything else that will keep your goals front and center in your mind.

5. Surround yourself with others who are positive and motivated.

6. Read success stories or watch them on video.

7. Learn as much as you can about healthy lifestyles. In this case, education CAN be free! There is a ton of good info on this site or in your local library. Knowledge is POWER!

8. Just Get Moving! Once you start, you’ll want to keep going.

9. Keep a record of your progress. Seeing concrete evidence of your improvement will motivate you to do even more/better.

10. Help others when you can.
