Physical Freedom
In 2008, I lost 80 pounds then gain most of it back. I remember clearly how much better I felt and how much healthier I was at that weight. This time I'm giving away my old clothes as soon as they no longer fit. All the effort and energy spent on this journey is well worth it. I re-started the journey to physical freedom. Fresh attitudes, open to new ideas and letting go of past failures. Being enthusiastic about this journey and celebrating each step helps me let go of fear. ...

This time I'm giving away my old clothes as soon as they no longer fit. All the effort and energy spent on this journey is well worth it. I re-started the journey to physical freedom. Fresh attitudes, open to new ideas and letting go of past failures. Being enthusiastic about this journey and celebrating each step helps me let go of fear. I am committed to facing my issues honestly by reflecting on my behaviors and being accountable. Walking slowly, is my fitness exercise until I'm able to do more. Consistent tracking of my food and my fitness are the tools that make this journey work for me. I will not give in to discouragement.

My Goals:
The future is not some place we are going to, but a place we are creating. The paths to it are not found, they are made. John Schaar. Creating a healthy future is my goal. I will get there by celebrating every healthy choice and working on goals each day.
My Program:
Tracking my food honestly. Eating a balanced diet of 1250 - 1550 calories per day. Weighing monthly. Intentionally moving more. Reading SP posts and articles daily to keep my motivation high and my goals realistic.
Personal Information:
I am married and we have 2 grown children. I am in my 60's and live in Southern California. We are blessed by good weather most of the year. I am challenged by exercise by being so overweight and by asthma. We have a dog who loves to walk and is an inspiration for fitness. Walking is my starting point.
