So Hey! Here I am, back from a Spark vacation and ready to get back to the business of a healthy lifestyle. My routines and habits have gotten sloppy. It's time for an overhaul.

First, I changed my daily schedule. It was a crazy hit or miss schedule and sometimes I wouldn't have breakfast until 11 a.m. Not good. Nutrition is important! I wasn't exercising regularly, either. And I always felt rushed and behind. So I've written down a new morning routine which includes exercise, breakfast, prayer time and daily mass. I'm up at 5:30 and mass is over by 8. That leaves me plenty of time to take care of my other stuff.

I'm also posting a checklist on my fridge so I can track a few things during the day by just using check marks: 8 glasses of water daily, 10 minutes exercise daily this month, at least 1 fruit and at least 2 veggies a day. No eating after supper, which I will have between 5 and 6 p.m. It's a start. I'll see how this works and tweak as I go.

I'm doing the Find 10 Challenge, and besides getting me up and moving for 10 minutes/day, I'm learning about safe exercise, variety in exercise, how to monitor my heart rate, and other good stuff. It's amazing how much difference 10 minutes can make. I actually find myself being more active throughout the day.

It feels good to be taking care of myself!

    Your cool weather must have gotten here as it sure cooled down overnight,
    Been in the mid 90's the past couple of days...too hot for me. Summer finally reached these parts at least for a couple of days anyways.
    Not been on SP for a few months except when I find something I want... emoticon
    I'm here when someone wants me.

    I'm up to my neck in pears from our tree and lots of veggies coming from the garden.
    Maybe I can start eating more healthy now. emoticon
    Also been doing a deep clean and decluttering of our house the past couple weeks or so.
    Also trying to rev up the prayer ministry a bit at our church. Gotta awaken some of the sleepyheads from their slumber.

    So what's up with you? How is your summer going?
