I have an herb garden and several flower beds. I am a bird watcher. I keep feeders and water in the backyard for them. I love cats. I have two indoor only cats. I am a musician. I used to play the oboe. I am trading it in for a clarinet. I am sick of reed making, and I'm not going to spend my time on it anymore! I enjoy a variety of exercise, but swimming is my favorite.

I love everything about food. I love growing it, canning and freezing it, and eating it! I love to feel full, and I have quite an appetite. I am at a turning point in my Spark journey. I would like to lose about 20 more pounds, but I am ambivalent about making still more lifestyle changes that would take the weight off and keep it off. My doctors are thrilled with my weight as is. This weight is easy to maintain. What to do?

The problem is, this weight makes me feel mediocre. I look good, but not great. My fitness level is good, but not great. I want to be great, but I'm unwilling to make the long term changes that it will take to achieve that goal. The drama continues. What will I decide? At this point not even I know the answer to that question.

I am tracking my food, eating 1200-1500 calories a day.
I am swimming 3 times a week, a half mile a day.
I am using my physical therapy exercises for strength training twice a week.

Just read your comment on my page. You are my kind of camper!!! Glad to hear you are enjoying your hummers too. I have one mean one that keeps us from having very many. He even runs off the females. I reason that if I keep him fed here that some other neighbor might be getting to enjoy the others...lol.

Sounds like you had a whirlwind May! Yes, I'd imagine some normal for June is in order for you.
You camp in an RV? I just adore camping and do have several mid-week trips this summer planned for our daughter and myself. We plan to tent camp and rough it a little. lol. A little girl time before her senior year. We love to camp!

Thanks for commenting on my page -- glad to hear that you are doing well, even if it is in one of the longest plateaus. Better to stay steady than go up -- a lesson I am paying the price for now. Ugh. Too much for this short note.

Oh, and thanks for remembering my book -- hah. I'll send you a free copy when (and if) it ever gets published -- although I'm a long long ways off from that point. I was just thinking over the weekend that I need to kick it into high gear and get that thing finished so that I can edit it ten times, and then send it to be published (or self-publish it more likely). :-) That would entail sticking to one story -- and I'm now up to having started 4 different books. lol. Sounds like it's time to me to get focused.

Hi, I saw your comment on a message board and I can so relate to where you're at with the weight loss. I started out at 5'2 and in the 170s. I dropped 20 pounds and a lot of fat from around the middle, and it's pretty easy to maintain, but I've been trying to lose another 10-20 pounds for a long time now and failing. My doctor thinks my weight is fine as long as my stats are okay.

I think you put it well - you've developed a healthy lifestyle, but you wonder how much more you're willing to change that lifestyle in order to lose more weight. This is what I keep bumping up against too. It's just not the same as when we were younger. On the other hand, I have to wonder how much less my knees would ache if they had less to carry around...
