Hi, I joined SparkPeople in 2011 on the advice of a friend after frustration from changes to another weight loss program. I have lost 115 so far between two programs. I would like to shed another 40 lbs. My long term goal is a lifestyle change that includes fitness and proper diet that align with my goals of healthy living after having an MI and now an Aortic Aneurysm that is being watched closely by two Cardiologists.

Fitness Minutes: 48,135

My Goals:
Long Term Goals (revised January 2012):

* Lose enough weight and lower BMI to no longer be classified as obese (90 lbs to go.)

* Improve overall fitness to be able to run/jog 1 mile and improve strength to be able to do a reasonable number of pushups in a minute.

* Lower Blood Pressure and get off medications to do so.

Reward: Purchase the college graduation ring that I put off until I reached a my goal weight and no longer balloned up and down.


Short Term Goals (revised Jan 2012):

* Continue to measure , track and monitor food consumed to stay within my recommended ranges for a Healthy weight loss diet.

* Continue to get 5 days/week of Cardio excercise (30 mins per day) and 4 days/week of Strength Training to improve fitness and Strength.

* Vary exercise routines and increase fitness at a reasonable pace to prevent injury.

* Continue to track everything eaten and monitor dail


My Program:
To meet my goal I am following the program and making a lifestyle change which includes controlling intake of calorie, fat, protien, carbs through Dietary choices, portion control. I am also working at my poor fitness after years of being a couch potato.

* A big fan of Classic Rock music and the blues (especially with a strong harmonica presence.)

Favorite Musicians in no particular order:
Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen, Little Walter, John Lee Hooker, and Neil Young.

* Fan of Hockey and baseball. My favorite teams in both sports are from the city of Philadelphia where I like to visit a couple of times a year to enjoy some Sporting Events.
