Never Giving Up!

1/18/14....After being here since August 2011, I've lost 67# and then lost my motivation the end of 2012 and went around and around the same numbers all of 2013! I'm sick of it! So I feel that I'm starting all over in a way and will shake myself up a bit and try all the harder with my diet because I can only exercise so much with having Rheumatoid Arthritis. I can feel myself getting some motivation back and feel like I can get rolling with this momentum I'm gathering for the road ahead. I ...

I know, because I'm human, that there will be pot holes here and there that will set me back, but I'll be up and going again full-speed ahead! All of 2013, I kept coming on SP every day and tracked everything, the good and the bad. That's right, I did and I'll never give up! I'm awfully slow at this but I'm still doing it and I will get there one day! Oh ya!

My Program:
I'm making more healthy choices with food, paying more attention to exercise. I try to keep my goal in view every day.

Personal Information:
I'm originally from Seattle, WA and have lived in the Midwest for around 30 years now, married to my best friend. We own and operate our dairy farm. My husband and I have two grown children. Our daughter's married and our son farms with us full-time. We also have our beloved English Springer Spaniel named Hope! We love her undying love for us every day! We raise corn, soybeans, barley, alfalfa and wheat too sometimes. I love the distinct 4 seasons in the MIdwest, but not always the extreme temp. of heat and humidity in the summer and the cold winds along with snow in the winter. But we know that the things we don't care for as much, find us enduring and then that builds character! I love gardening, baking, collecting, shopping, sewing, music, singing, piano, painting, decorating, embroidery. I hope to become more and more healthy that I can enjoy all of these things more.

Ask yourself if what you're doing today is getting you closer to where you want to be tomorrow.

Thank you for your comment on my measurement pants blogs for Watch me shrink. I'm glad she suggested the pants. I can see how they are going to be very helpful to me and others who latch on to this idea.
Thank you!
Lynn

Hi hun! im so happy you watched the documentary, hope u got a lot out of it :)
I did actually look at all the nutritional charts for kfc, mcdonalds and subway as it happens. the roast chicken salad with ranch dressing from subway is perfect, 7 grams of carbs :) as for the rest of it not really.... i have had the double cheese burger at mcdonalds, asked them to take out the ketchup and put in mayonaised insterad.. and sometimes bacon.. but even the bread on that pushes me over my rating... but wont for you if you're on 100 carbs.. and yeah that option is okay... um.. sometimes a snack wrap with crispy chicken seems to work.. but flat bread usuall has more carbs.
it's very wierd to pick the bun off a burger and eat without.. very

Tonight I made steak casserole in the slow cooker :) I talked to a new person who knew a lot about Paleo and follows it himself. I am shocked how popular this way of eating is. (the man is in his 60s)
Anyway, yay,

Today I was "bad" and i had toast for breakfast.. and it caused an insulin spike, i could feel it cos i had lower enerfy.. and cranky.. and then i had that every 2 hours needing more sugar/carb thing..... i had no idea how bad it was,.. it's like smoking.. with its addictiveness (and probably worse for you than smoking). the whole day was ruined and i scoffed down achocolate bar in 30 seconds. yuk
next day i wont do that... its the last loaf of bread to be bought for this house

(might try making some dense kind with nuts and using coconut flour). :)
Getting there, slowly. How goes your south beach? done any more reading on it? :)

Thanks a bunch for reading and commenting on my newest blogs. I am so over remodeling and just so glad it is finally done after 2 yrs. With this home so small we had to come up with creative ways of doing things. I hope you looked at the after blog after I was done. I tend to post pictures and edit as I go along. It is easier for me. Tks again. xo Teri emoticon
