Hello waist

"My resolution is to get back into running, so I need to get out the door and make it reality!" February 2012

Since amending that resolution in July 2012, I now run 5k+ with ease, and I'm running 30 x 5k in 2013 to raise sponsorship/money/awareness for World Vision by doing weekly Saturday morning parkruns. That means giving up my Saturday lie-in, which is a big sacrifice for me!

I've shrunk by 4 dress sizes now and have got a distinctive waistline back. Hence the page title. My weight-loss has plateaued recently, but my body is shaping up and clothes fit better.

By following the SparkPeople's diabetes eating programme I have halved my blood sugar count.

"Three of the most powerful words in the English language are 'I AM RESPONSIBLE.' It's tough to do, but when the day comes that you can say those words, believe them, and mean them, it will be the most liberating moment of your life. Taking responsibility for all of your results, for better or for worse, is taking back your power to create results in your life."
-Tom Venuto

"Just because we are knocked down does not mean that we are out.
We still have breath in our lungs and tears flowing down - all signs that we are alive!
Take a deep breath and be reminded that often our biggest struggles are stepping stones to our greatest victories."

Thank you for your comment on my blog. "Listening to your body" is the best advice. Popular programs are aimed at the average person and we should adjust them for our own unique selves.
Congratulations on your achievements so far. There will be many more in your future.
