Move more Eat less

I'm an active 61 yr old but due to foot/ankle issues, have not been able to play tennis, jog, or even walk as much as usual. In Sept 09, I had surgery to repair tendon and ligament damage in my right ankle and was in a non-weight bearing cast for the next 6 weeks which caused me to eliminate most exercises. Have been in physical therapy since early 11/09 and expect to get released for normal activities by early Feb 10. In the meantime, will start introducing approved exercises and hopefully ...

In the meantime, will start introducing approved exercises and hopefully get back on track by yearend. Although I didn't gain any weight during this recovery time, I didn't lose any either. I'm ready to begin again (12/8/09). Discovering this site has really motivated me to re-establish a regular exercise routine and become more aware of my eating habits. Good luck to us all.

After 8 hours of yardwork, I can't imagine why you would need any additional exercise. I'd drop weight cause I'd be too tired to eat. I was able to easily track my workout this a.m. - thanks to you. Now, I'm about to head out the door for a walk before it gets too hot or starts to rain.

Your very Welcome. It took awhile to figure out where the "manage your workout" tab was but after that it was a piece of cake. I wish there was some place to also add other exercises (like spread a truck load of mulch) LOL Most of my exercise is out in the yard 8hrs a day and by time I come in am too sore to do any spark exercises. emoticon
