I tried clean eating as well. But there are loop holes there as well, I found myself craving, because I really wasn't a true clean eater, I would binge occasionally on chocolate or some sugar item, it would go on for days, then tried to get back, and I kept failing. I think it actually was high carb food I was eating, wasn't counting carbs as I do now, and my carbs were around 120, so there was sugar still being processed in my system, whether it was pasta, grains, high fructose fruits, and it was still causing me to crave. Has your Dr. discussed low carb eating with you? Most do. Mine said cut out all the white food, sugar flour rice etc. But giving up ALL sugar is what I found that helped me most. In fact it's pretty much in everything. Look at the Sparkteam I mentioned. They answered a lot of questions for me when I first started LCHF and I have learned a lot with their own experiences and great knowledge of these plans. Atkins isn't like the old one. Most people think all you eat is meat, not true. There is so many books and knowledgeable people out there.
I think the crock pot/slow cooker was invented for people for on the go.
