Project Me my adventure into lifestyle change

My original user name for the first 3.5 years on SP was GrandmaSam. Sam60SumThink? It works ...for now. But don't expect me to retain this name either! ===== During my time as an active member of SP I've made vast changes in my lifestyle and in my life. I don't think of weightloss as a 'goal' per se. To me, it represents a measurement of health status, and is a by-product of the true goal: good health from a healthy lifestyle. To have "thin" as the ultimate goal has no meaning for me. To have "more slender" HAPPEN? Kewl!! That could even mean the smaller clothing would let more clothing items fit into each laundry load! Healthy living has been and will remain my focus here online and in the choices I make offline too. Some things stand out as important to me in my journey: THE SP DIET STAGES: My SP exerience aka time has proven to me the value of things we often overlook. Therefore, I cannot stress enough to new members the value of truly reading those SP Diet Stages! Our most difficult to conquer issues are firmly embedded in old habits so old and embedded that we don't realize they exist until we focus on what makes us say "Oh I know THAT". When some suggestion or advice seems 'old hat', consider the possibility that THAT is precisely what needs most attention. Yup, I'm a strong advocate of working - working! - through the SP Diet Stages! "Is it really THAT important to track?" YES!! Tracking and measuring... and then reviewing reports and summarie!!... empowered me to understand the areas of nutrition that needed overhaul. A true lifestyle journey never really ends; the more we imporve, the further we can travel!

My Goals:
I want 2 b the best I can b! Goal is HEALTHY LIFESTYLE.
My Program:
(1) ACTIVITY: a. Walk. b. Daily stretch and exercise program. Use weights and bands, pushing MY limits further. c. Using machines at YMCA. (2) NUTRITION: ...* Balance, bikini-plate! ...* Moderation, ...* Enough. Just that.
Personal Information:
Limitations from arthritis, fibromyalgia/mps and other health issues are a huge issue for exercise, and since I'm an overweight undereater exercise is the KEY. By combining assistance of dietician appointments for several years with working through SP's Diet Stages and truly paying attention to what I do, I've made huge 'small' changes that improved my health wonderfully. Now? I'm struggling to be patient at losing a lot of weight. I'm truly a turtle in showing progress, but the stuff that does not show is fantastic. My journey's progress just keeps getting better!
Other Information:
Every small improvement is a wondrous event! A mother, grandmother, military mom, disabled, empowered, optimistic, grounded. I believe in setting the bar just a bit higher each time I feel too comfortable. Change in methods, perspectives!, keeps my journey interesting. Yes, I continually revitalize my journey! My life is my journey. And vice versa.
