MUSTANG SALLY

I grew up on a Minnesota farm in the 1950's. I am frugal, organized and goal orientated. My most well known skill is focused on Communication. The most important things in my life are my immediate and church family. I have a very strong work ethic. Both my boys have graduated from college now and it is time to focus more on me. Our oldest boy, Matt, married Jaimie in 2006 and received his Masters degree in 2008. Zoey, our first grand baby was 4 years old in September of 2013! Isabella, ...

Worry over the future breeds anxiety. Fretting over the past breeds depression. Both can stop our good movement forward and put us in front of the TV with a bad movie and too much of the stuff we don’t need to put into our bodies. That horrid cycle, of course, breeds regret and dread that brings us to more of the same. I believe that is called “insanity”.

Instead work to stay in the present taking the next step needed for living to the full the “now” that is before you, having learned better ways from past experience and pushing forward with hope that right action now will produce a better tomorrow. This is living life with power that produces a good outcome and protects our journey from wasting away.

Plan for the future, yes; but let the first plan be to live your best you in the now you have to possess.

That is so true, Sally. Prayer is one of the most important weapons in our arsenal. Thanks for commenting on my blog. BLESSings, beloved of the Lord. emoticon Darlene emoticon emoticon

emoticon for the pinwheel. I'm glad you shared that memory with me. I too have lost a son and I still take his anniversary off from work and spend that day with my other son. We enjoy memories and just spending time together.
