I like to run (though I am not very fast). I love food, specifically watermelon, ice cream, and oatmeal. I'm pretty sure I could eat those three things the rest of my life and be ok. I can't cook at all though, even though I do try (sometimes). I love snow, puppies, kids, reading, and life in general. I have a long term goal of living to be 100, but I understand that some of this is in my control and some of this is not. I live healthy now because I know it will help me live healthy tomorrow (and hopefully in 70ish years too!).
I keep my goals simple, mostly because my life is not:
1. Run more
2. Eat as cleanly as possible
3. Spend as much time as I can with the ones I love
Basically, I working on making the good choices - portions, foods, exercise, friends, life, etc.
*Some days, this is a lot easier said than done.

Welcome to the Special Ed Teachers Lounge!
Here are the top-5 reasons I love my SparkPeople teams:
1. Total strangers who cheer me on, some who become friends.
2. People who encourage and inspire.
3. People who share their strength when I don't have my own.
4. People who keep me trying and make me not want to give up.
5. We can never have too many of the above!
Other SparkPeople members have taught me:
1. Celebrate the little triumphs and focus on those.
2. Get up when you fall.
3. Share your success and help inspire others!
4. Share your struggles so others can inspire you.
5. It may go slow at times-- but as long as it's going, you’re doing something right.
