I lost 40 lbs when I started running 5 1/2 years ago. Pretty much just by running consistently and eating healthy foods. I started running to help with my TMJ. Running helps me in many ways and I pray I am healthy enough to do it for many many more years!

I have regained all of the weight of I lost, plus an extra 2 pounds! I could say it was all due to an injury, and that certainly played into my downward spiral. However, in order to move forward, I am owning ALL my choices, good, bad and ugly, and leaving the past where it belongs.
As of April 2015 I am 213 lbs. I will work towards 160 lb knowing that eventually I'll get there. Even though I have ran many miles, including one full marathon in the last 3 years, I am starting running anew (due to two stress fractures on my tibia in Dec. 2012, then just laziness, anxiety, and depression, not to mention fear of re-injury). I pray that starting slowly will help me to avoid burn out and stay motivated.
The new battle will not just be weight loss, but also to combat the negative thinking patterns that seem to be ingrained. Breaking free is my goal this year! 2015 is my year to get this party RE-started! I'd love some support along the way! I'll do my best to encourage you towards your goals as well. My Goals:
To get to a healthy weight/size for my body. I think that is a size 8-10 with weight around 160-165.

Run three times each week.

Body weight strength training 3 times a week


Whole, healing, healthy foods.

Get up & dust myself off, evaluate & then move on when I fall...this is life & I want to live & learn & love every day!

Personal Information:
I am 5'10". 43. Blessed to know Jesus as my savior and lord.
I have a great husband and kids, 11 & 9. I spend my days teaching 5th & 3rd grade.
Enjoy running, reading, baking, cooking, date nights with hubby, snuggling my kiddos, exercising with my kids.

Thanks for the opportunity to share the journey! I have total respect for teachers. I volunteer at my 9 year old Granddaughters school and assist at her run club. I am constantly amazed by her teachers every day. Stay strong, focused, and be well!
