Dang- so I'm on again, off again in Sparks.
Let's see- injuries, injuries, health, then injuries. Wow, so boring.
I love life. Love being here, and want to be healthier in my last years of life. I'm down over 130 from my high, and that's great- have had a few pounds creep back, but still feel like I eat a much more balanced diet than in days of old.
I have learned through tracking that I have to be careful to eat enough of the good stuff- fats and proteins are what were most likely to fall off my intake. No more. I am much better at eating home cooked amazing food, and hardly touch the fast food any more. Lots of fresh garden food, lots of slow cooked feasts. Hooray.
I have cancer- and the guess is about six more years to go. I want to be rolling on the floor with my grandkids, making arts and crafts, and calling to the moon for these last years. I want to stay full of gratitude for the life I have lived, the love I have shared, the glory of being.
I do rituals, say barborous woods, engage life as a Magician and wizard, know that I am one speck of the glorious world- one speck that is just as important, just as unimportant, just as glorious and amazing as the rest. One sparkling snow flake in a montage of life.
So- my hip is going out, my knee is kicking me, and I have to grin, and know that the gymnastics, the mountain climbing, the crazy life I have lived has a cost. Whoopee!
Ayup- going out with a spark.

1500-2400 calories a day - in balance to activity
cardio 6 X a week 45 min min
strength training 2-3 X a week
play hard, enjoy myself!
Dance at least 1 X a month
spiritual, not a Christian

Howdy! Just saw your message on my page. Yes, I've been out here for nearly 3 years now (gasp - where did the time go) and finally have something resembling a permanent job. Lots of weight gain but I'm slowly adapting the DH to fewer carbs and more healthy home cookin' ... which of course forces me to do the same. :) Hope you are well and hangin' in there!
