I'm involved in 18th Century Living History. I've always enjoyed doing hand work of various kinds. Since so few people have ever seen lace being made I am learning to make bobbin lace. It is the most challenging craft I've yet done. It makes a visually interesting demonstration. I've also demonstrated Spinning on a Spinning wheel (not on a bike). I must admit it threw me to see quite a few people on SparkPeople who were spinning until I realized what type of spinning they were doing!

I'm a mom of 3 only children. Yes you read that right I have 2 boys who are 18 years apart with a daughter thrown in 6 yrs after the 1st and 12 before the last. My first husband & I have been married 40 yrs. We finally have an almost empty nest after 36 years since the baby has just finished in his 2nd year of College.
When people ask me where I'm from I tell them the USA. I've lived in Florida, California, NY, NJ, Alaska and finally Pennsylvania with a marvelous Summer one year living in Austria. Since I was born in the Sunshine State I swam before I could walk, which may be why it is my favorite sport. I ride my recumbent bike because we have more winter than Summer here in the mountains of Northern PA.
I have been following the Zone, which is a 30-30-40 eating plan. We keep a large garden and have a dozen chickens. It sure helps my eating green.
I will be updating my spark page shortly but 2 interesting facts are we are 18th Century Re-enactors. We do mostly Revolutionary War events.

My Goals:
I want to look cute in jeans.

I want to be able to ride horses again.

I want to be able to get down on the floor and back up again gracefully when doing my yoga.


My Program:
I'll follow a 30-30-40 eating plan between 1200 & 1500 calories I will continue to journal what I eat.

I will do my 10 min. exercise of some kind 6 days week.

Also looking forward to getting back in my pond to swim.

I will finish reading the Spark and put some ideas into action.

I live in the Endless Mountains of Pennsylvania, which is located south of Corning, NY.


Other Information:
I enjoy nature. My garden is abloom with early Spring flowers. The birds are back from their Winter homes and flitting around the yard looking for building materials.

    Just dropped by your Spark page today. I'm from Canada emoticon although I moved to central Ohio about sixteen years ago, when my seventeen year old son was only one. I'm also on the Zone diet, and joined the team today. I found out about the Zone from my mom and had most of the books in my extensive book collection before going on the diet recently.

    I feel better already, less foggy and more focused mentally and slightly more energetic although I don't know if I've lost any weight yet as you'll see from my ticker.

    I'm blogging daily about my journey which is a complete lifestyle makeover, and my Spark page is public and you're welcome to drop by.
