Hello! I like penguins.....that's why I chose rockhopper for a name. My Mom's been on here for a while and doing really well....so with some encouragement from my Dad, I decided to check it out. :0)
After being on SP for a month I've finally got some goals - besides my goal weight of 150lbs. I got this percentage idea from another member. I started with 64 pounds to loose and I'm going to celebrate each time I loose in multiples of 10%.
Goal #1 - Lose 10%, 6.4 (12/28/08)
Goal #2 - Lose 20%, 12.8 (1/17/09)
Goal #3 - Lose 30%, 19.2 (2/22/09)
Goal #4 - Lose 40%, 25.6
Goal #5 - Lose 50%, 32 (1/17/10)
Goal #6 - Lose 60%, 38.4
Goal #7 - Lose 70%, 44.8
Goal #8 - Lose 80%, 51.2
Goal #9 - Lose 90%, 57.6
Goal #10 - Lose 100%, 64!
Ultimately I would like to lose the 64 pounds I've gained, but in the process I would like to learn to eat for the right reasons.
I am trying not to stress about ANYTHING...and to love God with ALL my heart, mind, soul, and strength. Yep, even more than food. ;0)
I am 33 years old. I live in Southern Oregon with my family - 2 brothers and a sister.
My favorite book is the Bible. I also enjoy reading biographies of people like George Muller and Hudson Taylor.
Some of my favorite movies are "Amazing Grace", "Facing the Giants", and "Luther".
