I Can and Will Lose Weight.

A brand new day. I'm starting over again on Spark People. Hopefully this time will the charm that helps me lose weight. I watched the show "Extreme Weight Loss" last night and something in that program inspired me to try again. I began to think back on all the times I have actually tried to lose weight, and it occurred to me that I make way too many excuses for not losing.

1st excuse: We don't buy the right types of food (fresh veggies and fruit for the week on a daily ...

I watched the show "Extreme Weight Loss" last night and something in that program inspired me to try again. I began to think back on all the times I have actually tried to lose weight, and it occurred to me that I make way too many excuses for not losing.

1st excuse: We don't buy the right types of food (fresh veggies and fruit for the week on a daily basis),

Resolution: that's not an excuse not to watch what I do eat. I need to buckle down and make the most of the foods we do bring into the house, eat smaller portions, and try to cook it as healthy as possible.

2nd excuse: I can't really exercise because of my problems I have with my knees and heart.

Resolution: I can go walking more, I have a stepper I can do while listening to SP radio, I have a portable cycle that I can do while I'm sitting here online, I have hand weights, also something I can do while sitting, I can also do yoga while sitting.

3rd excuse: I have very little support and encouragement.

Resolution: I need to encourage myself and not be bothered by what other people think.

I CAN lose weight, I WILL lose weight.

My Goals:

I would like to lose alot more then 50 pounds, although even 15 would be better then nothing right now.

My Program:
Give an overview of what you are doing to meet your goals.

Alot of walking. My daughter and I have been walking around the city park and walking to the grocery store instead of driving there. Plus I've been trying to waatch how much I eat.

I was born in Texas and raised in Arkansas. I use to weigh 135 pounds before I became prgnant for the first time, and I haven't seen that weight in 23 years. If I can get below 200 I'll be happy.

HI !! "GREAT JOB". LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING ABOUT ME. I'VE HAD A HERNIATED DISC PAIN FOR 4 YRS. MEDICATION, BACK BRACES, P=THERAPY, ETC. . SINCE I'VE LOST 60 LBS. NO MED'S NO BRACE, NO PAIN. RMCKITTRICK, LOSING THE WEIGHT WILL HELP A LOT. CHECK OUT YOUR GOODIE PAGE.
