Hi! In response to the green smoothie question: I bought Victoria Boutenko's Book, Green Smoothie Revolution (only around $10) and started trying recipes. When my friends told me about it, all I could think was "gross", but they are really quite good. I start with a mixture of fruits (no dairy or sugar) and ice cubes. My favorite is banana, pineapple and lemon juice (about 1/2 lemon). I whip that up and there (here comes the green!) I add about 6 romaine leaves and a little cilantro (if you like the taste). It is light and frothy, and a little sweet. My whole family is drinking them daily now and my son, who suffered from digestive problems, is cured. I have also kicked my whole-pot-a-day coffee addiction. Plus I lost 6 pounds, mostly because I didn't have the carb cravings either.
Good luck! I recommend the book!
