Hi!....from Texas. I have several hobbies: piecing quilts, yardwork, reading, fresh water fishing, counted cross stitch, and enjoying my grandkids. This is my second entry into Sparkpeople. I had success with it in the past, but I somehow got sidetracked with life. I know it works, so that's why I'm back :). This time, I hope to keep the principles for the rest of my life. It's just trading good habits for bad ones, a little at a time. Tracking my food is what works best for me. Before I started, I didn't have a clue on the calorie value of most foods. This site is helping me to learn that and the correct portion sizes.
I've got a few things I'm working on...losing weight to feel better, getting my sleep on track (I've been a chronic insomniac for years), to drink more water, to read more books from my ever-growing collection, and to start making quilts for my kids and grandkids.
I am tracking my food and trying to drink more water. I haven't mastered the water part as of today. I'm also finding more ways to move that are fun, or at least tolerable. Ha!
I have lots of interests and hobbies...reading, fishing, gardening, quilt making, counted cross stitch, cooking, organizing, Pinterest, collecting vintage cooking utensils. I also like vintage travel trailers. I'd like to convert one into a hobby/sewing haven some day. Not much of a tv watcher, unless it's a baseball game, but I love brainy movies.
