Ready ...!

Hi my name is Risa...I've been on and off here on Sparkpeople since 2007...formally under the name "Sunflowerisa"... for my love of sunflowers and how it inspires me....you know, how it's always reaching up towards the sun.

I had a stroke in February '14 and I'm still recovering. It affected my short-term memory...but it has gotten much, much better.

I am now ready for a healthy and happy life - so my new sparkname is "Readyrisa".

I'm starting back ...

My Program:
-Stay within my calorie range 1200 - 1500 by utilizing the food tracker.

- Plan out my food the day before or first thing in the morning, using the food tracker, updating during the day. Cook at home and avoid restaurants for now.

-Exercise daily.

-View my goals daily

- Get plenty of sleep per night!

I am determined and I can commit. I WANT SO MUCH TO BE and FEEL HEALTHY. I CAN DO THIS.

Personal Information:
I am a stroke survivor and ready to get my life back by being and staying healthy and happy.

Interest include watching foreign movies, yoga, learning to live better!

Other Information:
Life is incredibly short...live, enjoy and do the best every moment that's left.

Today, as I am reflecting on what my goals for February should be, I came upon the following quote by Don Lancaster:

Most "impossible" goals can be met simply by breaking them down into bite size chunks, writing them down, believing them, and then going full speed ahead as if they were routine.
