Sparking, Spangling and Flying!

Sparking: As a member of Spark People - I intend to continue 'Sparking' for ever!

Spangling: I am an active member of the Spark team '100 Days of Weight Loss' which is based on a book by Linda Spangle.

Flying: I have been a follower of Fly Lady for several years now and found it SO helpful. One of her tools is a 'Holiday Control Journal' which is a planning tool to use for the Xmas and New Year (and Thanksgiving if you're in the USA)

As I approach That Time of Year - I'm starting to plan what kind of holiday season I want to have. And I want a Sparkly, Spangly happy holiday season!

So, starting today (25th October) I am setting up my Holiday Control Journal to start planning my menus, decorations, gifts, activities, exercises, social events etc. It keeps me on-track, and it keeps me happily free of stress.

I am currently working through another Linda Spangle book 'Friends with the Scale' with the 100 Days of Weight Loss team - which will take me up to almost Xmas Day.

After than I am going to work through my favourite 10 lessons from the 100 Days of Weight Loss book - which will take me through to New Year.

Then I'm going to start the 100 Days of Weight Loss book for a second time - because it's brilliantly effective at helping me overcome my emotional eating habits.

I shall continue to work through the book with the emphasis on finances and blog about that on this page here - which takes me through to the 12th Day of Xmas I think......... near enough.

So the other stuff will be blogged on the 100 DWL team page. I'll put some links here in case you're interested in clicking through for a read.

My Goals:
1) to get to and keep my weight under 8 stone 7lbs
2) to get and keep my waist under 29"
3) to maintain a supple and strong body into my later years
To be a slim, strong, fit woman!

My Program:
I aim to eat mostly vegan, I am limiting wheat and sugar dramatically, I practise portion control. I eat 5-6 times a day. I follow general principles of low-fat, wholefood eating and am mindful of getting protein, especially in my snacks.

I could make a longer list of things I don't do any more, than things I do: rebounding, running, hooping, weight training, swimming, hiking, cardio videos, Chi Gung, crunches etc etc.

I just about manage to do a walk every day because I don't have a car! Sometimes I do some yoga.

I don't know why it's so difficult for me to be consistent!

Personal Information:
I live by the sea in the South West of the UK. I work full-time as a support worker with adults with learning disabilities. I am a Nichiren Buddhist which involves me in lots of activities.

Other Information:
I'm weighing daily and tracking a weekly average figure.
