In My World Everyone Would Get Along!

Each of us has cause to think with deep gratitude of those who have lighted the flame within us." - Albert Schweitzer ________________________________ “If you want to make your dreams come true, the first thing you have to do is wake up.” ― J.M. Power (You can take this two different ways) ________________________________ “Be willing to stop judging against yourself. Bad urges don’t make you a bad person.” — Deepak Chopra- ________________________________ Life is what I make of it. I have control over my own life. I gain strength from struggles I have won. I gain wisdom from my experiences. I gain joy from the love in my own heart. ________________________________ A light supper, a good night's sleep and a fine morning have often made a hero of the same man, who, by indigestion, a restless night and a rainy morning would have proved a coward.- Lord Chesterfield, diplomat ________________________________ "Always be a first-rate version of yourself, instead of a second-rate version of somebody else."—Judy Garland ________________________________ A smile is a curve that can set a lot of things straight.- V. Borge ________________________________ Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm. — Ralph Waldo Emerson ________________________________ The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.- Martin Luther King Jr. ________________________________________ I was always looking outside myself for strength and confidence, but it comes from within. It is there all the time. — Anna Freud ________________________________________ Understanding happiness (from healthy reflections) A Great Obstacle To Happiness Is Expecting Too Much Happiness! -Bernard de Fontanelle Happiness is a state of mind, not a way of life or a destination. Satisfaction can only come from within, through truly accepting yourself, your life, and your circumstances. ________________________________________ MY MANTRAS My body is strong and healthy and can become healthier each day! I love fresh produce! I'm calm and relaxed! I have the freedom and confidence to enjoy my life! My life belongs to me and it brings me pleasure! Nothing is hopeless and problems are there to be solved! ________________________________________ TALK YOURSELF INTO REACHING YOUR GOALS by Dean Anderson 1. Don't say anything to yourself that you wouldn’t say to someone else. 2. Look at the whole picture. No matter how persistent a problem seems to be, it is never the whole story. 3. Ditch the drama. Is it really going to ruin your life if it takes you an extra day or two to reach your goal weight? 4. Reward yourself for right thinking. Establish goals (streaks) for verbally treating yourself with the same respect and care you offer to other people; for staying focused on positive solutions; for keeping things in perspective; and for acknowledging your successes. When you take responsibility for becoming your own best friend, supporter, and coach, a whole new world of possibilities will open up for you. ________________________________________ ENERGY IS MAGNETIC Energy of a certain quality or vibration tends to attract energy of a similar quality and vibration. THE LAW OF ATTRACTION Whatever you put out into the universe will be reflected back to you. "As you sow, so shall you reap." We always attract into our lives whatever we think about the most, believe in most strongly, expect on the deepest levels, imagine most vividly. ________________________________________ First Agreement "Be impeccable with your word" Second Agreement "Don't take anything personally" Third Agreement "Don't make assumptions" Fourth Agreement "Always do your best" ________________________________________ THINGS YOU CAN CONTROL... You can't control how or when things change, but there are a few important things you can control during change: the words you say, the dominant thoughts you have, and the feelings you allow yourself to feel. You're on your way to becoming a change optimist when you stop trying to control your outside circumstances and work instead to control what goes on inside you. Today, begin to control your words, thoughts & feelings: Become aware of the language you use to describe the change you're experiencing. You are what you say & tell people you are, Trade "victim vocabulary" for words that are uplifting and empowering. Notice your thought patterns. When you change the way you think, you tap into your inner voice. You control the movies that play in your mind. You can make them bright, dark, negative, lonely or uplifting. Prevent your negative emotions from dominating you during change by remembering that all feelings-both the positive and the challenging-become your compass while going through change. They help point you in the direction of feeling better by alerting you to how you don't want to feel. Remember, at the point when you feel most "stuck," if you can speak different words, think slightly better thoughts and get in touch with how you're feeling, you can become unstuck in a matter of minutes. by Ariane de Bonvoisin, change expert & founder of first30days.com MY GOALS March 1 - March 31 For the next 4 weeks I will log all my food.
