I've been on multiple diets throughout the years, starting with Atkins in middle school. Then it was South Beach. Then it was the old Weight Watchers program from the 80s. Then it was the Points system. Then it was the Points Plus system. There are probably more in there that I'm just not remembering.

I'm now 22 years old. I used to tell myself that I was okay with my weight because at least it was the same. I weighed 244 pounds from sophomore year of high school to sophomore year of college. I was 70 pounds overweight, but at least I was consistent with it.

But that's not true anymore. In 2010, I gained 50 pounds. That was when I graduated college and went from walking at least a mile a day to sitting on the couch all day, from eating healthy food three or four times a day to eating whenever I felt like it - mostly when I was upset about not finding a job.

I started 2011 weighing 295 pounds. I lost 30 pounds through Weight Watchers but then started work and stopped keeping track of points. Now 2012's almost halfway over, and I'm starting at 292 again. Hopefully this will be the last time I have to start over.

My Program:
I only cook vegan food, though I will eat vegetarian food when someone else makes it. As I get more comfortable with myself and vegan food, I'm going to stop eating vegetarian all together.

My SparkPeople calorie allowance is 1800-2200.

I will also use the elliptical at least 3 times a week for 30 minutes.

Personal Information:
I live in Snellville, GA, with my parents, sister, boyfriend, and dog.

I work as a school photographer (because English degrees aren't that useful if you don't want to teach, apparently. Who knew?).

I'm currently working on getting my Masters and certification to teach high school English.

Other Information:
Most of my free time is spent writing or reading. In addition to losing weight, I am working on writing 1 million words of original fiction in the year 2012.
