Wanting a lifestyle change

I've been overweight for way too many years now and feel like I've missed out a little on life by hiding behind my weight. I'm REALLY ready for changes in my life.
I'm a Grandma to my precious granddaughter Jayda and what a joy Grandmotherhood is! I want to be around a long time to enjoy my granddaughter, my daughter & son in law and my son.
My son is a Marine and my son in law is serving in the Army. I'm now a Military Mom X 2. My heart goes out to all Military Families and ...

I'm active in my church and I really enjoy hanging out with my friends & family, going to movies, plays and listening to music. Up until now my real favorite hobby had been eating, but I'm starting to develop more hobbies that are much better for me! I love to cook and bake and shop!

My Goals:
*I WILL lose 50 pounds by 08-01-10.

*I will exercise 3-4 x per week at Curves and walk or bike ride on alternate days.

* I will find something positive about each day I'm blessed to be here!

* I will log into Spark People as often as I can!


My Program:
Workout @ Curves 3 or 4 times a week. Watch my caloric intake. Drink water, Drink more water. Walk 1 mile on days I do not workout at Curves. Eat at least 3 fruits and vegetables a day. Remain active on SparkPeople.

Other Information:
My favorie author is Debbie Macomber and I've just discovered the joy of reading... due to her.
