I'm 65 years young, have crummy joints from arthritis, but a super-positive attitude. I recently retired and I'm looking forward to the next phase of my life and being fit and healthy enough to enjoy every minute.

Fitness Minutes: 19,515

My Goals:
March 25/17 - to weigh 175 lbs by June 15/17.
- to weigh 160 lbs by August 15/17
- to weigh 145 lbs by September 30/17
Oct 1/15 - 31 days of fitness

Oct 1/15 - to lose 30 lbs by January 31/16

Oct 4/15 - to walk the Sun Run in April 2016 in 90 minutes.

Jan/13 My goals are get fit enough to make my knee replacement surgery a success. Then, I want to get fit enough to ride a bike again, do Zumba and feel fit and ready to enjoy the next phase of my life
Sept/13 New knee is a success, goal reached of being able to bike.
New goals: Increase my general fitness levels, including flexibility, strength and cardio. Keep moving towards my goal weight of 150 lbs. I'm only 15 lbs away!



My Program:
March 25/17 - Eat whole foods in moderate quantities. No fad diets!
- Exercise for a minimum of 30 minutes p/day

I'm starting off by being more conscious of what I eat, both in terms of quality and quantity. I'm also doing a very moderate exercise program
Sept/13 Knee replacement surgery was a success, now I'm adding in 30 minutes p/day of cardio and strength exercise consistently. I'm also adding as many NEAT minutes as I can, taking stairs, walking to/from work. I track, track, track all of my food, every day. That is key to reaching my goals.



Personal Information:
I live in Vancouver BC Canada with my husband and kitty's Max and Buddy. We love to walk, travel and are both avid photographers.


Other Information:
1. Exercise Program. 30 minutes per day of walking/cardio. 3 times per week of strength with handweights
2. Nutrition. Stay within my calorie range and track all of my food every day

    You are certainly a positive force to be reckoned with... I am having my first total knee replacement surgery in June 2014. I am currently 315 pounds and am trying my darnedest to drop at least 30-40 pounds by then... I am looking for ALL of the Spark support I can get my hands on and thought I would contact you because we seem to be on the same track. I am also curious about your knee replacement surgery and are you happy that you decided to do it. THANK YOU and GOOD LUCK to you!!!!
