Fall ...

My Goals:
I've never really been at a "normal" weight for my age. It's difficult to "picture" what I would actually look like when I reach goal. More importantly is how will I feel about myself when I reach goal? Will it frighten me? I know I will feel better. There was a brief time in high school where I lost 30 pounds and was pretty close to goal weight but still 15-20 pounds over what the "chart guessers" thought. Yet I remember how energetic I felt, how awesome it felt to try on smaller pants, guessing at size, only to discover that they also were TOO BIG, and going down to a smaller size. Really cool. So I want that feeling again.

I've see various relatives struggling in their 70's and 80's because they made poor choices in their diet, didn't exercise, and they are having an awful time. Yet, I do see some friends in their 80's and 90's who are really ROCKIN', in great health, energetic, and I want to be that way when I'm in my 80's or 90

My Program:
Well, so far, the program is to just get this set up and figure out what is what, decide what to do, get some sleep, GET OFF THE INTERNET (including the wonderfully fun websites like this one!), and get some SLEEP!

EAT VEGGIES! I love them, but why won't I stop and prepare them for myself?

Go WALK and WALK/RUN

GET REBOUNDER SET UP!!

Do 15 minutes of DeCluttering 4-6 days a week (FlyLady!)

Okay, I'm not done with this list now. But I'm giving myself permission to stop here and revisit it later. It shouldn't go away anytime soon, as long as SparkGuy has enough squirrels running on the electric generators to keep powering the computers holding all of the SparkPeople pages!!

Then I can update this later with more profound coherent goals.

Hello there JULIA! Thank you for the Sunglasses goodie! (I love sunglasses-adorable !) You were living /staying out here for school and your sister lived here too? Well the update is that it is all probably all still the same except -the traffic has become pretty bad. But other than that its usually always SUNNY -generally that perfect GREAT weather LA is known for (-sunglasses -!) Yes, I hope you start a Julia group-I will join and participate! Sounds fun!! :) Glad to have you as a new spark friend! Thanks for the add! PS thanks also for the info on seeing the parrots during that time period...I thought they just arrived in So-Cal in the past 10 years or so. I never noticed them before. They are beautiful to see..but some people don't like them because they're noisy (squawking as they fly by or sit in trees) but I really like them. emoticon emoticon emoticon

My birthday has been wonderful, other than the non SP excess. Trying to get back here and at least start tracking again - when I'm not learning how to be an old crone. :)
