Reset button!!!

Hello I am Brandy. I am married to my husband Joey, and we have a beautiful fur baby, Bella Picollini. We have both recently transitioned to a Paleo lifestyle.

I am hitting the reset button on my goals today.....

I was a member back in 2011, and slowly went back to eating unhealthy foods and little to no exercise. I can give myself all the excuses in the world for my extended absence but no matter what at the end of the day they are still excuses.

Hello I am Brandy. I am married to my husband Joey, and we have a beautiful fur baby, Bella Picollini. We have both recently transitioned to a Paleo lifestyle.

I am hitting the reset button on my goals today.....

I was a member back in 2011, and slowly went back to eating unhealthy foods and little to no exercise. I can give myself all the excuses in the world for my extended absence but no matter what at the end of the day they are still excuses.

For that time period, I felt lethargic by 2 pm every day, and had trouble sleeping for the past several years. I was eating out regularly and was always bloated and had indigestion after a meal. I was always stressed and moody. I was tired of feeling that way.

I transitioned to the Paleo life style because it makes sense to me.

~I eat healthy whole foods every day.

~I try new foods and recipes, so I cook more at home.

~I haven't eaten out or had any fast food and if I chose to I'm confident I will make better choices when I decide to.

~I can include my husband in my new life style and include him in shopping and meal planning.

~I feel good about what I am putting in my body. I can eat without feeling guilty about the food I am putting in my body.

~I don't feel sick or bloated after eating and my tummy has been flat, I lost 6 pounds my first week of my transition, that's great!

~ I eat dark chocolate and mixed nuts and I am satisfied.

I still have a lot to learn and it's still a transition for us, but I don't think I ever want to go back to my old way of eating. This is a life style not a diet. It's like choosing to be a vegetarian or vegan. I am looking forward to the benefits I will see in weeks to come. My husband is on board and is enjoying experimenting with cooking new recopes.

So today, I will reset my goals and challenges, to fit my new lifestyle.

My Goals:
Feel better about myself inside and out.

Feed my body healthly Paleo nutritious foods.

Manage my stress and worries.

Find the small things I enjoy in life that make me happy.



My Program:
1. I will walk every day for 15 mins with my dog, rain or shine.

2. I will aim to drink 8-10 -8oz glasses of water.

3. I will get 8 hrs of restful sleep every day.

4. I will take ten mins to myself in the morning.

5. I will eat cook Paleo meals 7 days a week at home.

6. I will eat 5-9 serving of fruits and vegetables every day.

7. I will try one new recipe every week.

8. I will take lunch to work 5 days a week.

My name is Brandy. I work as a nurse/ Memory Care Director with seniors who have dementia.

I have been in a relationship for 10 years with Joey, who is now my husband.

We have a beautiful dog Bella Picollini, and two cats Sage and Shorty.

My favorite actress is Hillary Swank and actor Jack Nicholson.

My favorite movies are Braveheart, the notebook, and Home is Where the heart is.

My favorite singers are Adele and Pink.

Hi Brandy, thanks for visiting my page. You have had a lot of ups and downs... but realizing where you are now is an excellent first step to recovering your happiness. I'm also in a job I don't like... stuck with bills so I can't quit... very frustrating, but trying to make the best of it. Hang in there and keep your chin up. Keep looking for motivation and the good things in life. Welcome back to SP!!!

I hope you've enjoyed your weekend. I went to the flea market on Saturday....long day and it was super HOT! I have so much stuff to get rid of before I move in August. Today my hubby and friends took me out to dinner for my upcoming birthday, then to the mall---I purchased jackets for the kids for school and some Vicky Secret's Love Spell (that stuff smells GREAT—I think it's my favorite.)


Can't say that I've been completely on track but not beating myself about it. Lifestyle not diet.


Let's keep moving forward.


We CAN do it!
