I have been a Spark Person for quite a while, but I am re-thinking and re-inventing myself! This is a necessary process for me, as I have to re-motivate myself from time to time, also. So, 2011 is the time!

My Goals:
My goal is to maintain my weight. The measurement I want to use is my Body Mass Index. This should fall between 18 & 25 to be in a healthy range. Currently I am at 24.3. This is acceptable, but I want to be an even 24, which I will be at 158 lbs. That sounds like a lot of weight, but I am 5' 8" tall. Also, I am 72 years old, so that I feel that I need a little weight cushion in case of illness. (hopefully, none!)

My Program:
I am eating an average of 1500 calories per day (yes, the metabolism does slow down with time) and I want 25% of that from fat. That's about 34 fat grams. So far, so good! That's brought me down from 191.5 lbs!

Personal Information:
I llive in Tennessee. I am working at my third career, which is being secretary & bookkeeper for my Church, Sacred Heart. My first career was as a phone company supervisor. My second career was being a math teacher for 25 years in my county.

Other Information:
I play the piano & organ, garden a little (mostly in pots now-a-days), am an avid reader (all kinds of books, but love mysteries to relax). I'm a member of Platinum Fitness for Women, where I exercise 3 times per week.I have three living children (two sons & a daughter), two adult grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
